ICT TRAINING AND OUTREACH FOR PRIMARY/SECONDARY EDUCATION
We are a public entity that provides “free public access” to information through the use of computers and the internet. We encourage the use of IAC particularly to underserved communities and schools in Ghana.
With our concurrent aim with our Korean initiators, we seek to reach out to underserved groups, such as primary and junior secondary schools who lack the practicality in computers and internet usage. Our technology service is made available to the public without charging any member, be it national or foreign. This therefore fell in line with our core mandate to forming the IACTON PROJECT to help the neglected school children in ghana.
The objectives of the IAC are as follows;
• To aid the spread of ICT knowledge and information dissemination.
• To promote learning of ICT.
• To equalize the digital divide of students and other users of ICT.
• To explore other use of ICT for the benefit of the Primary/secondary schools, the commercial World and the public.
USERS ARE MOSTLY SCHOOL CHILDREN (30/MONTH). INVITATION LETTERS ARE SENT TO THE VARIOUS PRIMARY SCHOOLS AND THEY COME TO OUR ICT CENTRE FOR SUCH TRAINING (WITH PROJECTS, WIRELESS, 30 COMPUTERS, PA SYSTEM)
MAKING ICT EDUCATION PRACTICAL AND INTERACTIVE THAN THEORETICAL IN TEACHING. THAT WILL BE THE SUREST WAY TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN DEVELOPING AND DEVELOPED STATES.
