Progettazione e realizzazione di una Gru Automatica per lo spostamento di piccoli oggetti metallici comandata da una App per smartphone Android. La Gru utilizza un elettromagnete per agganciare piccoli oggetti.

La realizzazione di questo prototipo è nata dall'idea di realizzare un sistema per lo spostamento di piccoli oggetti metallici senza l'uso di una pinza meccanica con i metodi del brain stormig e del problem solving gli studenti sono arrivati alla conclusione di adoperare una elettro-calamita del tipo di quelle utilizzate negli impianti di autodemolizione.

L'ostacolo maggiore, nella fase iniziale, è stato quello di acquistare le piattaforme embedded per la realizzazione del corso. Tali boards, Intel Galileo, sono state generosamente prestate dall'Università degli studi di Siena, grazie al prof. Domenico Prattichizzo, col quale è partita una collaborazione che, con molta probabilità, darà buoni frutti.

L'idea del progetto Ma@Ma è nata nell'a.s.2013/2014 dalla volontà del prof. Giuffrida Emilio Ugo, che ha realizzato ed erogato il corso base nell'a.s. 2014/2015 , di creare un laboratorio di programmazione embedded per l'automazione che coinvolgesse attivamente alcuni studenti particolarmente interessati e preparati, in qualità di tutors dei loro compagni di scuola.
Il progetto prevede, per l'a.s. 2015/2016 anche un corso intermedio che punta a sviluppare competenze nell'ambito dell'integrazione di sistemi diversi (Arduino, Galileo, Raspberry PI, PLC Logo Siemens), sempre in ambiente GNU/Linux.
L'utilizzo di software libero e open source, largamente impiegato al Liceo Majorana, è fondamentale per permettere agli studenti di attingere ad una fonte immensa di documentazione ed applicazioni, in maniera del tutto gratuita.

Interest to students to the world of robotics and automation with advanced a practical approach.
The said targets have been possible thanks to both the components and the development environment
chosen: the first were the Lego™ Mindstorms mechatronic components, which offered high availability and
low price; while, to program the embedded platform “NI MyRIO”, it has been used NI LabVIEW, the
National Instruments’ graphic environment. This combination offers an instinctive, powerful and reliable
way to do didactic automation.
Moreover, the Lego™ Mindstorms products offered large range of hardware components, like sensors,
actuators and structural mechanic pieces, at a low price. Therefore it permitted to quickly assemble and
overhaul different prototypes of robots or, generally, automation systems, thus eliminating the problems
resulting from expensive and complex mechanical machining processes.

Principali ostacoli sono stati di tipo economico: risorse finanziarie per completare l'attrezzatura inizialmente prevista (finziamento ricevuto solo per il 40% di quanto preventivato ed inizialmente richiesto). Mancanza di fondi per pagare trasferte agli allievi ed ai docenti coinvolti. Impossibilità di pagare il presnonale tecnico per realizzare componenti ed attrezzature "custom". Impossibilità di pagare il personale ausiliario dell'Istituto per avere una copertura pomeridiana oltre le 17:00. Difficoltà di trovare sponsor nel territorio per estendere l'iniziativa ad altre realtà. Al fine di superare questi limiti stiamo cercando visibilità commerciale, attreverso il partner aziendale IRS Srl di Padova, al fine di commercializzare la piattaforma hardware e software così sviluppata.

"my Robot Sensor Kit - myRSK" is an project which dealt with the complex theme of the robotics and automation, through a series of didactic experiences.
This project aim at the diffusion of technical and scientific culture in the field of automation and robotics, using Lego Mindstorms Robot and intelligence-based PC in Embedded Real Time with NI FPGA programmed with LabView. It has been a cooperation between didactics and industrial fields, purposing to create a hardware and software platform for the “research and educational” area, which allows to elaborate advanced automation controls in a simple and instinctive way.

“My Robot Sensor Kit” is an extracurricular project which dealt with the complex theme of the robotics and
automation, through a series of didactic experiences.
The said targets have been possible thanks to both the components and the development environment
chosen: the first were the Lego™ Mindstorms mechatronic components, which offered high availability and
low price; while, to program the embedded platform “NI MyRIO”, it has been used NI LabVIEW, the
National Instruments’ graphic environment. This combination offers an instinctive, powerful and reliable
way to do didactic automation.
The project was launched during the 2013‐14 AY by the technical institute ITI “F. Severi” (prof. Alessandro Scroccaro), homed in Padua, and supported by I.R.S. S.r.l. Padova and National Instruments Italy Srl (ing. Massimo Rapini). It was presented for the first time during the “NIDays” in Milan on 12th March 2015.
Thanks to the project, the school won a funding of 20 000€ by the scholastic education and research
ministry (MIUR). The amount has entirely been investedinto equipment for the automation and the
mechatronics laboratories, thus enabling an ever‐increasing number of students to take part in the project
in future.
During the past academic year (2014‐15 AY), the project has seen the active participation of five
enterprising and deserving students, chosen from the last year (5th) and among three different courses of
the secondary school. Now the project is developed at the institute F. Severi and at other technicians institute, who have adopted this platform hardware and software.

L'idea nasce nel tentare di dare concretezza agli argomenti trattati in Tecnologie e Progettazione di Sistemi Informatici e delle Telecomunicazioni riguardo ai protocolli applicativi e los viluppo di servizi su internet.
La diffusione dell'IoT e degli sbocchi professionali che si possono presentare in questo settore, mi hanno fatto sperimentare con gli allievi della VE questo progetto.
Il progetto ha raccolto entusiasmo in buona parte dei gruppo classe e questo mi ha spinto a continuare e a chiedere anche degli sforzi pomeridiano per la realizzazione di questo primo prototipo.
Si è partiti da piccoli esempi nell'utilizzo di Arduino, per poi spingerci al controllo dei diversi sensori utilizzati nel progetto.
Il sistema demotico realizzato è composto dai seguenti sottosistemi:
1. Termico, controllo della temperatura degli ambienti e attivazione del sistema di condizionamento;
2.Illuminazione, controllo crepuscolare per l'accensione automatica delle luci in giardino ad un determinato valore di luminosità;
3. Antifurto, di tipo perimetrale che controlla le aperture della porta di ingresso e di alcune finestre, attivando la sirena di allarme;
4. Web-Server, permette di controllare la situazione della casa da remoto e di attivare o disattivare l'antifurto, il condizionamento e la variazione della temperatura e della soglia di accensione delle luci in giardino.
Con lo sviluppo della semplice componente web, gli allievi hanno potuto anche sviluppare un protocollo di comunicazione basato su standard XML utilizzato per le comunicazioni tra la board Arduino e il web-server, sotto forma di richieste AJAX.

Il Progetto MAMBA è un Sistema Informativo Automatizzato, volto al monitoraggio termoigromètrico opere d’arte dislocate nei vari ambienti di conservazione nel territorio Nazionale.

Il progetto si occupa della conservazione di tali opere onde evitare un loro deterioramento mediante una costante supervisione e tramite report periodici. il progetto è nato grazie alla fusione delle idee dei nostri ragazzi e di un'azienda leader nel settore. Il gruppo è formato da:
-5 ragazzi che lavorano sullo sviluppo della parte software
-5 ragazzi ed 1 ragazza che lavorano sulla creazione della parte hardware
